I’m a junior back-end developer looking to apply my skills. I graduated from the University of Iowa with a biology degree and computer science minor and went on to attend the MakerSquare accelerated learning program.
I was previously interested in pursuing a career in biological research. I worked in a lab during my time at college and was able to contribute to several projects. After finishing college I decided that graduate school was not a path I wanted to take and without that my career options in science were limited.
So I switched gears and decided I wanted to become a software developer. To this end, I packed my bags and moved to Austin, TX where I attended the MakerSquare accelerated learning program focusing on web development. Now I’m looking for my first job as a software developer.
When I’m not coding you can find me exploring Austin, biking, or playing video games.
